The HART (Highway Addressable Remote Transducer) communication protocol is a hybrid analog/digital communication protocol that is widely used in industrial automation and process control applications. It supports digital communication via traditional 4-20 mA analog wire, making it compatible with existing systems while simultaneously adding new functions.
