Different Parts of a Power Transformer
There are various parts of a power transformer which is used in electrical power distribution. The parts are -
- High Voltage Bushing
- Low Voltage Bushing
- Main Tank
- Drain Off
- Cooling Tubes
- Oil Tank
- Oil Tank Gauge
- Buchholz Relay
Every part of power transformer has its own function to do the operation of the power transformer. Like
- High Voltage Bushing: High voltage current enters the transformer at this location. Between the external circuit and the transformer windings, it safely conducts high voltage while providing insulation.
- Low Voltage Bushing: Low-voltage current enters or exits the transformer at this terminal. Like the high voltage bushing, it offers insulation and a path for low voltage electrical current.
